OUTREACH EVENTS - SERVE AND VOLUNTEER WITH US!

BACKPACK OUTREACH
During the year, gently used/new backpacks are saved and stored.  Additional bags are purchased or donated.  School supplies are purchased during the special summer sales.  Those families in need sign up for bags and supplies for their children.  The bags are put together with a special tract for the child inside the bag. The day of the event, we present a special gospel message to the parents and children who come.  The bags are then handed out to the children.

Volunteer
The backpacks will be distributed August 14at 10:00 am.  We are looking for volunteers to assist in:
What:  Donate supplies/book bags; Shop for school supplies; Pack the bags one week before; Assist in organizing and giving out the bags the day of the event.
Who: Individuals and small groups. Registration must be in by 7/22.
Assembling of the backpacks will take place August 8 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon in Room 1612.

VALENTINE OUTREACH
A great time to express the Savior's love to those who do not know God's great love for them.  A small decorated Kraft bag of candy and a card is attached that expresses God's love for us.  They are given to the children and to the adults...

Volunteer Opportunity
Time: February
Who: Small groups or arts/crafts ministries
What: donate valentine candy, put the bags together, make the cards or purchase Christian valentine cards.
